Sunday Service
We meet at 4pm in the Mohoao Room at Te Hāpua: Halswell Centre (Halswell Library, 341 Halswell Road).
Coming to a church service can be very new and different for people, so we seek to explain everything as we go. We want to welcome you and for you to experience the goodness and grace of God.
During the Sunday worship service we seek to come before God with reverence, humility, anticipation, joy, love, thankfulness and appreciation.
What Does Sunday Look Like?
Each week we will sing, pray and have a Bible talk.
As we come before God we:
Expect God to speak to us through His Word (the Bible) and His Holy Spirit in the preaching and proclamation of the good news of Jesus Christ.
Pray knowing that God calls us to pray and is pleased to hear our voice.
Sing a mixture of old and new songs, so that people from any generation can come and worship.
After the service at 5:15pm we have a simple meal for kids and a cuppa for adults.
For Children
We have a space in the main hall so that little ones can crawl and play if they need to. Our expectation is that the kids will make some noise, it’s what kids do!
For children aged 5-9 years we have a Sunday School program during term time run by leaders (who have been officially checked). This happens during the sermon time in a room next to the main room.
Our desire in teaching children is that they would come to know Jesus as their own Saviour and Lord and grow in following Him.
